Waxing appointments

Before you book.

What should I expect during my first Brazilian wax?

Your appointment takes place one-on-one with Cassy in her private suite. She will explain the service, answer your questions, and check in with you throughout the appointment. Cassy will guide you through each step, including how to undress from the waist down and the simple positions needed for the service. During your appointment, she will also educate you on proper preparation and aftercare so you know how to care for your skin and get the best results. The goal is a quick, thorough, and completely judgment-free experience.

How long should my hair be before waxing?

Hair should be approximately ¼ inch long—about the length of a grain of rice. If you have been shaving, allow about 1½–2 weeks of growth before your appointment. Please do not trim before your appointment.

Does a Brazilian wax hurt?

You will feel the hair being removed, but Cassy’s technique is designed to keep the appointment efficient and as comfortable as possible. Many clients say the anticipation is worse than the service. Consistent waxing usually becomes easier as the hair grows back finer and more evenly.

Can I be waxed while I’m on my period?

Yes. You may keep your appointment while wearing a fresh tampon or menstrual cup. Hormonal changes can make some clients feel more sensitive, so rescheduling is also completely okay—just provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

How often should I schedule my wax?

Schedule bikini and body-waxing services every 3–4 weeks. Facial waxing and underarm services are typically scheduled every 2–3 weeks. Staying consistent helps the hair grow in on a similar cycle and often makes future appointments more comfortable. Avoid shaving or tweezing between visits.

How should I prepare for my wax?

Gently exfoliate one or two days beforehand, arrive clean and dry, and avoid applying oils or heavy lotions to the area that day. Wear loose, comfortable clothing when possible. Avoid alcohol and caffeine before your appointment, as both can make you feel more sensitive. Please do not apply numbing cream before your service. Numbing products may irritate the skin, cause an adverse reaction, or interfere with safely assessing the skin before waxing, potentially increasing the risk of skin lifting or injury.

What should I avoid after waxing?

For the first 24–48 hours, avoid excessive heat, friction, heavy sweating, swimming, hot tubs, fragranced products, and sexual activity involving the freshly waxed area. Begin gentle exfoliation after the skin has calmed and follow the personalized aftercare discussed at your appointment.

Do you accept male clients?

Honey, Be Waxed is not currently accepting new male clients. Established male clients may contact Cassy directly to schedule their usual services.

Brows & skin

Product and service questions.

Can I have my brows waxed while using tretinoin or retinol?

Stop all retinoids and acne treatments—including tretinoin and over-the-counter retinol—5–7 days before your brow or facial waxing appointment, and continue avoiding them for 5–7 days afterward. Always disclose prescriptions, peels, procedures, and active skincare products before service. If you are unsure about a product, contact the studio before your appointment.

Can I be waxed while taking Accutane?

Waxing is not performed while a client is taking isotretinoin, commonly known as Accutane, because the skin can be extremely fragile. If you have recently stopped treatment, contact Honey, Be Waxed before booking; medical clearance may be requested.

What is hybrid brow dye?

Hybrid brow dye colors the brow hair and creates a temporary stain on the skin for a fuller, more defined appearance. It generally gives a bolder and longer-lasting result than a traditional tint, although longevity varies with skin type, skincare, sun exposure, and aftercare.

How long does a brow lamination last?

Results typically remain visible for several weeks, depending on your natural brow texture, growth cycle, skincare, and home care. Brow hair must be kept conditioned and hydrated. Lamination services should not be repeated sooner than six weeks.

What is dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a professional exfoliation service that uses a sterile blade to remove surface buildup and fine facial hair. It leaves the skin feeling smoother, helps makeup apply more evenly, and can support a brighter, more youthful-looking complexion by softening the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A consultation is completed first to make sure the service is appropriate for your skin.

Only the client receiving a service is permitted in the suite. When bringing a child is unavoidable, the child must remain safely secured in a stroller or seated in the provided chair. If safety or disruption becomes a concern, the service may need to end and the applicable fee may apply.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
